Component I – Project Management
Component II – Strengthening the response capacity of the Romanian authorities facing a situation of a massive influx of migrants – two Integrated Centers in case of massive influx of migrants, as well as simulation of a practical exercise as a coordination tool and preparing mechanisms for national competent authorities and also thematic training for structures involved in the management crisis
Component III – Institutional and operational capacity building in terms of improving the reception and accommodation capacity for asylum seekers of GII regional centers and optimize the IT infrastructure for an efficient public service:
– Improving housing conditions at GII Regional Centre Giurgiu and Rădăuți
– Strengthening identification and assistance mechanism for vulnerable cases and specialized training of staff on reception as well as
staff ensuring legal representation of unaccompanied minors
– Implementation of a unitary system for issuing temporary identity documents and implementation of an information system by technical devices of the asylum seekers accommodated at the 6 regional centers of GII.
– Technical upgrade of GII ITC infrastructure
Component IV – Developing professional competences of GII, Police, Border Police and National Agency for Trafficking into human beings on exchanging good practices, specific training on improving migration management:
– Training sessions for staff of the Ministry of Home Affairs in the field of asylum and migration, detecting forged documents and misuse of identity, as well as on advanced interrogation techniques, behavior detection.
– Exchange of experience and good practices in other member states dealing with massive influx of migrants and documentation visits in migrant camps – hotspots and transit centers.
– Implementation of EASO training Curricula modules at the national level through the Guide of training and further training of immigration personnel and civil society involved in the asylum procedure
